I have spent the past 10+ years focusing on US immigration – first at law firms, and for the past 2 years, at K2. With a focus on employment-based and corporate immigration, I’m extremely familiar with the processes (and challenges!) of all types of work-authorized status and permanent residency in the United States. My clients have ranged from employees of Fortune 500 clients to individuals at boutique firms.
I am drawn to immigration because while it may be a rigid process, it is also a key aspect of an individual’s relocation journey. It is a critical first step to any international move, yet tied up with the assignee’s livelihood, their professional and personal development, and has a huge impact on their family’s lives as well. I am glad to be able to assist assignees throughout this complex - and at times, expensive and time-consuming - process.
I spent eight years working at law firms focused on immigration, and my client base ranged from large oil and gas companies to individuals who were self-sponsoring their immigration process. I enjoyed the work, but realized I was only seeing a small slice of the relocation experience. When the opportunity to join K2 arose, I jumped. Not only do I get to work with a truly global immigration team, I also see how immigration fits into the full global mobility picture.
I gain so much satisfaction working with clients and assignees to break down a complex process and help them realize that K2 is their partner throughout the entire process.
